1. The First Evening
I thought the evening unfolded
so vividly, dinner for two,
vegetarianstyle, cool jazz on
the radio, splashing waters
 
from the fountain below. you’re
an exquisite cook, baby. you
planned it so well. I was impressed,
inspired, intrigued, and enticed.
 
The movie was not as good as we
had thought. A few laughs
here and there, and that was it.
it was not the prelude
 
to passion we expected. But something
happened in your apartment. time
